RWB’s Resort 22 collection at AAFW surprised us with its fantastical runway show

Romance Was Born’s collections are full of breathtaking statement pieces and features, covetable prints, hand-made embroidery details, intricate beading, and intensely detailed sequined elements. Creative collaboration is a fundamental part of how Romance Was Born designs, and they carefully choose associates who yield their creative passion and dedication to their process. Romance Was Born creates clothing that is more than just beautiful garments. They form an immersive and heartfelt experience for the wearer. Romance Was Born remains to draw influence from the Powerhouse Collection to design their seasonal collections.

It’s obvious to get succumbed to the fancy-ness and curiosity of RWB’s fanciful displays, but what makes it more fascinating? The label blended it with the “Re-use, Recycle and Repurpose” message.

Sydney’s Carriageworks runway stage turned into an enchanting wonderland, with rainbow lights, ethereal florals, and a whimsical carousel. RBW founders Anna Plunkett and Luke Sales spent 16 years establishing and cultivating their trademark brand of Australian charm and beauty, which mixes luxurious and impressive Resort 22 collection runway show that debuted as part of Afterpay Australian Fashion Week 2021.

RBW’s resort 22 collections, named Arts & Crafts, displayed two designs almost entirely from raw and preloved vintage bits. The clothes are defined by intricately beaded garments, reams of ruffles, and tasty candy shades.

Models opened the whimsical garden setting with a slow-spinning carousel. Their heads were wrapped with beaded headpieces of ruffled silk hoods. The effect was exciting, symbolizes the cyclical nature of fashion, which the world has learned the difficult way this past 13 months.

Also, the collection added a mini dress made of knitted together with the heart motifs, hand-made magenta-colored gloves, and a prom-style evening dresses with its 80’s style twist. A patchworked kimono tied with a thick leather wrap belt and quilting repurposed into bulky gowns with bows attached to the neck.
