Oroton, being an optimistic brand, which is so adjacent to extinction and beyond with enthusiasm.
Oroton is amongst the oldest fashion labels based in Sydney, Australia. Founded in 1938 by Boyd Lane, Oroton originally began as an importer of luxury European textiles and soon transitioned into fashion designing. The brand later became symbolic to Australian fashion. Oroton produces beautiful fabrics, fresh color palettes, supple leathers, and modern hardware. Sophie Holt, the creative director since 2018, the label re-invigorated and reinterpreted Oroton’s rich heritage injecting a spirit of now, evolving the leather goods product offering, and launching an entire ready-to-wear collection.
OROTON’s Resort ’22 Collection, clean lines, fragile fabrics, and sentimental motifs, was beautifully arranged to turn into an ode to springtime. Optimism is one of the main ingredients for many clothing labels every fashion week, which is ultimately comforting. The show entitled “The Optimist”, featuring a Greek-style garden setting.
The collection went absolute equality between casual and chic. The colour palette of creams, lemons, and turmeric hauled everything collectively and considerably set the mood for the runway show. Creative Director Sophie Holt fused the sugary motifs of daisies and matchboxes altogether into the collection.
Leather was the number one pick material when it comes to footwear and handbags. Silks and linens were also chosen to be used among the fabrics. We have different sizes and shapes for every season, from large to small tote bags and woven day bags with braided straps.
Accessories also struck as the main highlight, for a label built on leather goods, with oversized totes tucked casually, striking and sculptural pieces of jewellery decorating alongside blazers, laser-cut, and tailored garments showing this is the best worthy fashion label. Oroton’s accessory demonstration went several changes. Satchel and bucket bags in rich cognac and ivory reconstructed through smooth finishing touches, embossed leathers, green clutches, and classic totes were exulting rebranded gold hooks. Oroton also featured a symbol, a sculpted fine metal logo “ORO” bag charm with a leather tag.
