Let me tell you about Neatly Awesome! 

Pilar Llorente is a professional organiser and decluttering specialist who helps her clients to reorganise their homes. After Pilar started her business, she realised the need for professional photos of what she does best. We partnered to showcase the type of services she offers to her clients.

Pilar’s professional organising business was taking off and she wanted to keep growing her client base. As I do with all of my clients, I took a look at her website and identified the need for a cohesive and authentic set of images to reflect Pilar’s services.

I met Pilar for a planning session and we worked together to create a scenario that showcased Pilar’s decluttering and organising skills. In her personal branding photo session, we captured lifestyle brand photos that can be used on her website, on social media, and for marketing campaigns. Her social channels now show exactly what types of services are offered and present a consistent brand and story.

A time- and issue-bounded dilemma that would be difficult for even smart and seasoned professionals

After Pilar started her business she realised the need for professional photos of what she does best. She needs to show the World her professional services. Difficult to be recognise without a branding image.

Issue and concepts

Pilar Lorente is new in the market place, her target a female housewives who needs a home organiser in their home. Sometimes is misinterpretation to Pilar’s services, therefore, a clear video of what she does and how she does is the begining of this case study.

Important Data

Her professional organising business was taking off, quite quickly from what I could tell. She wanted to keep growing and sustaining the steady stream of clients.

The backstory

It all started when Pilar and her sister shared rooms and fought about who was “the organised one.” Many years had passed by before she realised that the problem wasn’t her sister but it was her possessions and how she didn’t treasure them enough. 

Scenery

Successful smart entrepreneur who found a problem in the market and solve with her services, Taking advantage of gathering together all of one’s belongings, one category at a time, and then keeping only those things that “spark joy” .

KonMari method

Kondo advises to start the process of tidying up by “quickly and completely” discarding whatever it is in the house that doesn’t spark joy. She advises to do this by category of items and not their location in the house. For example, all the clothes in the house should be piled up first, assessed for tokimeku, and discarded if not needed, followed by other categories such as books, papers, miscellany, and mementos  Another crucial aspect of the KonMari method is to find a designated place for each item in the house and making sure it stays there

User Experience Research

Pilar reports that she is now receiving more engagement on her social media and website, widening her customer base.

Brand Redesign

Her photography is now consistent with her brand colours, with all the spaces, props and small details carefully planned to present her vision.

A story in Research

After discovering Marie Kondo’s books,’ The magic of tidying up’ and ‘Spark joy’, and doing a tidying marathon, I learned the amazing power of the method. After that, I wasn’t just living in my own power spot, but I discovered amazing things along the way. I could see clearly what I needed in life.

My home is not perfect by any means, it would be boring and honestly, with two young kids, that’s nearly impossible. But I know that one can have a neat home that is awesome and reflects the values and souls of the people that make it warm and real.
